STEP 1: Login to LSRA e-Services using CorpPass

  • CorpPass (or Singapore Corporate Access) is a one-stop authentication and authorisation service for corporate users to transact with Government agencies online on behalf of their organisations.

  • CorpPass will be required for all local entities with a Unique Entity Number (UEN) and for foreign entities that wish to access Government-to-Business (G2B) digital services in Singapore. Individuals and local entities without a UEN will continue using their SingPass to transact with the Government.

  • A complete user guide on how to obtain CorpPass authorisation can be found on the CorpPass website.

STEP 2: Update particulars or request re-issuance of CoR

  • Under the Legal Profession (Regulated Individuals) Rules 2015, the particulars of a registered individual should be updated as soon as practicable, in any event within 7 days of any changes.

  • The update application form is similar to the new registration application form. Before completing the application form, you may wish to refer to the User Guide and applicable sample forms on the LSRA e-Services portal. Please note that the sample forms are provided for reference only and cannot be used for submission to the LSRA.

  • The completed application form must be signed by the Registrant and the Managing Partner / Managing Director or Partner / Director (or equivalent) with the requisite authority of the applicant law practice entity.

  • No fees will be charged for any updates, unless the re-issuance of the Certificate of Registration ("CoR") is required (e.g. when there is a change in the individual's name).

  • The applicable fees can be found in the Second Schedule of the Legal Profession (Regulated Individuals) Rules 2015.

  • The applicable fees must be paid online using a valid credit/debit card.

STEP 3: Receive outcome of update and/or re-issued CoR

  • The application may take about 3-6 weeks to process, commencing when all required supporting documents and information have been received. Applications that are incomplete, complex or submitted during the peak period from January to March may require more time to process. Therefore, you may wish to submit your application at least 6 weeks in advance.

  • The LSRA will seek clarification or further information from the Main Contact for the Application.

  • If a re-issuance of the CoR is requested, a copy of the CoR will be emailed to the Main Contact for the Application. The CoR can also be downloaded from myDashboard by logging in to LSRA e-Services using CorpPass.
