Applications to sit for the 2019 Session of the Foreign Practitioner Examinations (FPE), administered by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (SILE), are now open.
Foreign-qualified lawyers who pass the FPE can be registered with the LSRA as a foreign practitioner under section 36B of the Legal Profession Act to practise in the permitted areas of Singapore law, such as banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property law, provided that the law practice in which they are registered is licensed to practise Singapore law in these areas.
SILE will accept applications from now to 10 August 2018. Foreign-qualified lawyers are encouraged to read the Guide to the 2019 Session of the FPE before applying.
