Ministry of Law’s SGLaw200 Student Competitions: Why Law Matters
About SGLaw200
The Ministry of Law advances access to justice, the rule of law, the economy and society through policy, law and services.
This year, we mark SGLaw200 – 200 years since Singapore’s modern judicial and legal system was established via the Second Charter of Justice in 1826. Our legal system is the foundation of the Rule of Law, which is a fundamental principle underpinning Singapore’s development. It has driven our economic growth, maintained racial and religious harmony, and supported our key social policies.
SGLaw200 reiterates our commitment to the Rule of Law, and commemorates the past, present and future of Singapore’s legal system. A trusted legal system, a trusted Singapore.
