Official Visit to India by Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs Mr Edwin Tong SC

1. Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs Mr Edwin Tong SC will be making an official visit to India from 21 to 22 November 2025.

2. While in Mumbai, Minister Tong will attend the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Mumbai Conference and take part in a fireside chat with Lucy Reed, President of the SIAC Court of Arbitration and Independent Arbitrator at the Arbitration Chambers, together with Darius J. Khambata, Member of the SIAC Court of Arbitration and One Essex Court, to discuss the evolving landscape of international arbitration from the policy, practice and business perspectives. This fireside chat will be moderated by Cyril Shroff, Member of the SIAC Board of Directors and Managing Partner of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

3. Minister Tong will also travel to New Delhi for the SIAC Delhi Conference, where he will give a keynote address. While in New Delhi, Minister Tong will meet India’s Minister of Law and Justice H.E Arjun Ram Meghwal, to reaffirm the strong legal cooperation between Singapore and India and the shared interest to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

4. Minister Tong will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Law.
