Responses to Feedback Received from the Public Consultation on the Proposed Legislative Amendments to the Debt Repayment Scheme (“DRS”)

1. The Ministry of Law would like to thank all respondents who provided
their feedback in the public consultation on the proposed legislative amendments
to the DRS, which took place from 9 June 2025 to 27 June 2025. We
received feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, including creditors
such as the financial institutions and licensed moneylenders, debtors and
social service agencies.
2. We have carefully considered all the feedback received and will incorporate
them, where applicable, in the upcoming Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution
(Amendment) Bill.
3. The Ministry of Law’s detailed responses to the feedback concerning
key substantive policy matters can be found in the Annex.
